I''m at the research phase of the dome building. I was wondering what sort of table saw is up to the job and also the best wood to use. I see in the videos Paul uses a Makita and I could get a Makita 100 here in Orkney for about £370 inc vat. It could be used for future projects but I''m still researching if it would be economical to hire or even get a joiner to make some of the angled cuts until I have proper facilities. Which table saws are up the job though, what did you use? On the wood front I know many greenhouses are made of cedar as it repels insects but I was just wondering what people have used for their domes and where they sourced it from, local merchant or national? Thanks.

I've built 2 domes, the first a 3 meter was build using a circular hand saw(skill saw) then using a specially constructed jig to hold the 2x1 and machine it's angle. The second I used a record power table saw, £150 from ebay.
