| first....interesting site and idea. Made me interested in building a dome to live in,but what i cant get clear is the use of the calculator. Example...28 foot diameter then i get a strut A measurment of 4.88 feet what is about 176 cm? Pls help coz i just dont get it | |

| 1 foot is 0.3048 meter, or a bit more than 30 cm. so, 4.88 feet is 1.487 meter, or 148.7 cm, not 176 cm. Does that answer your question? Cheers, Jef | |

| You can use the calculation tools by converting to inches, for example 28 feet is 336 inches So enetr 168 in radius field. The result: Strut 'A' length : 58.56 is 58" and 9/16" You could convert to meteric 8500mm then convert the result back to imperial. Finally buying a tape measure with metric and imperial works great. (that's what I have) | |
