I was wondering if anyone has put an endcap dome on a standard home. My house is N-S facing gable and I want to put a dome addition on the south wall - I have windows on this wall and plan to add a door and basically figure this could be a good way to add a 1.5 story addition that functions as a solar sink to keep the south wall of my house warm, and give me ample room to have a decent greenhouse. My home is 28'' by 16'' with a standard roof. I just want to butt the dome up against the wall and use polycarb panels. Not looking to seal it up as a finished room. Gravel floor and planting beds. Any math wizards able to help me figure out how much material I might need, or what the design sq might be.
