What a great website. I''m planning on building a 28'' diameter 3v 5/8 dome using 2x4s and either steel or pvc 3" connectors. I was using the acidome.ru website and I can''t figure out if the diameter of the connectors makes a difference. I assume as long as you cut all the pieces the correct length it would just make the total diameter a tab bigger if you use bigger connectors.

The program takes into account the diameter of the pipe you use for the hub and subtracts it from the overall length of the struts. If you change the diameter of the pipe dramatically you should be able to see the difference in strut length illustrated in the graphics at the bottom of the page.
