I wonder, how i could build the most cheap, lightwight, transportable (disassemblable) version of a 2v dome (or a 3v 5/8) with 4 metres diameter. I want to use it as a wintergarden option above a round-garden in winter/spring and for example as a sunscreen for my children in summer or as a tent for children. I did not find any static calculations for geodesic domes. I think about using 14mm PVC conduit pipes connected with cable straps to a ring cut of a larger diameter pvc pipe. Then i want to make a "hat" for it with clear-foil use as winter garden and one for use as a sunscreen / tent. What do you think? Will it be stable enoug?
