I am currently designing a shed sized dome in timber - about 54" radius. There is not quite enough room for a standard full height door at 1981 and shed size doors seem to vary according to manufacturer.
What I would like to do is find a quality door that is somewhere between a 'shed' size and a standard size or possibly a door type that can be easily trimmed. I have a maximum 1900 vertical height for the door frame.

If you need to make a bit more hieght you could try putting the dome on plinth, this can get you as much as 8 inches and still looks OK. If you get a plank Z back shed door you should have no problem cutting it down to fit.

Thankyou for your prompt reply and helpful comments. I have now included a plinth in my design which is now almost complete.
