| Has onyone tried creating a dome using Domekits idea of light gauge steel T bar (as used in suspended ceilings) and a skin of rigid board insulation (aka Celotex in the UK)? More info at tinyurl.com/8hg79f. This seems to be the best idea I''ve found for an easily constructed insulated dome; it doesn''t require the double skin of plyboard and expanded polystyrene although might not be very tough. | |

That's a pretty interesting idea, should be very cost effective. I have never been that sure of using T-bar as you get some issues with the right angles of the T-bar section, if there is a bit of flexibility then it could work fine. Any idea about how much a dome would cost? Oh here's a live link to the T-bar section dome kit website |
