hi chaps.
how many poles are there on the bottom row of a dome?
this question comes from getting it wrong a couple of times assembling a 5/8 3v dome. i cant seem to work it out from the assembly plans on desert domes. they dont give a plan view.
i'm working on my third dome now, a 2v design.. & hopefully at some point will create a 4v. any tips? Regards. Adam |

| Hi Adam There are 15 in all, 5xB locate at the bottom of each full hexagon and 10xC type struts which locate under each half hexagon on the base ring. | |

| hehe, thats what comes of thinking about one post while reading another. Regarding the desert dome graphic, when you`ve put a few 3v domes together you`ll find you automatically look for the pentagons as reference points for strut placements. All you need to remember is there are 5 pentagons around the dome,the strut layout is exactly the same around,above and below each one. | |
