hi guys i''ve got a couple of 3v domes built.
they are 4 metres wide.
how do you put a door in the domes? the triangles are so small they are hard to crawl through. i''ve cut open the hexagon & also the pentagram; but the structure just collapses.
any tips?

Hi
I`m surprised it collapses, what are they made from? A pic would be nice :) I assume they are 4m 3v 5/8 domes so opening a base hexagon might give you 1.36m of vertical height for a door,a pentagon wouldnt provide much more due to the decrease in width at the top. A triangular annex starting at the apex of the triangle above a base hexagon is another option if you don`t mind an igloo-like entrance and a triangular door. The best but more expensive method to gain extra height is to put the entire dome on a 600mm riser wall which should give you just enough room for a full height door.
