Hi I am planing to buil a elliptical dome for a green house i need find the factors and angles for a 5/8 frecuency 4 elliptical dome.

An elliptical 4v dome would be a daunting project.
As you mention 5/8, i presume it needs to be more than half a sphere?
As a guide to the complexity of your project.. a standard (non-elliptical) 4v 7/12 uses 310 struts with 13 different lengths and 110 hubs with 12 different types.

I agree with Colin, that's one complex concept. I can build an eliptical 4v dome on my computer, take a look at the picture below. It is possible to workout from a 3d drawing all the measurments you will need but it would take ages.
If you can make use of a 3d drawing I can post a .dfx file.

Hi Paul,
I wouldn`t want to take on a project like that and i`m a glutton for punishment hehe. Thats a nice rendering of a 4v elliptical dome. If it doesn`t look challenging enough..imagine an extra row of triangles on the bottom :)

must build a structure with elliptical dome of iron and PVC cover. the model like this is posted just above. I found sites offering to make a dome and calculator but not found to elliptical. if someone knows of a website with elliptical dome calculator to tell me please
