| Does any one know how much a flexible hub will weaken a domes structure? | |

| A ball and socket isn`t really flexible, more.. adjustable :) As long as it can transfer the loads without breaking, it won`t be a weak point. | |

I could see a couple of problems using a hub that requires friction to stablise the joints. See the two diagrams below:  I don't think that it wouuld be a huge problem, if both the hub and joint had knurling or some other type of rough surface that would lock when bolted together. |
