New dome calculation tools

I''ve just added another dome calculation tool, It''s the 3v tool to calculate strut lengths and panel sizes if your building a 3v geodesic dome. Go to the Dome calculation tools page to give it a try. I''m starting work on a hub angle tool next, so people can work out hub angles for building geodesic dome frames. Anyone got any ideas about calculating hub angles let me know. (looks pretty complex but I''ll give it a shot)

This is a great tool, but you have to be careful with rounding errors when using it. We used it to make a model and put in the real size of the model. Our first hex did not fit together because of compounded errors. When we put in 50000 for a .5m dome and then moved the decimal point ourselves, the 2nd attempt fitted together.
