This is the first custom plans thread in the forum, I got this email from Ronnie and thought it was time to iron out the bugs and start the custom plan section.
I recently purchased the plans for the Truncated dome. Based on this, I would like to inquire about the possibility of expanding this design to link three domes together. My family is living in Belize and we are determined to building a dome for ourselves here. I see that you will be producing custom domes planes and I wanted to get in before most of the rush. Below are three VERY rough ideas I had. I would really appreciate if feedback you may have.
Thank you.

Hi Ronnie,
Congratulations your the first custom plan job in the new section of the site. OK my first thought was to take a look at the Mini Eden dome plans I've emailed a copy. this system doesn't use tunnels between domes but instead you can join direct to another dome but you need to alternate connections between low and high profile domes.
Before we go further if you can let me know what size you are looking to build and what cover material you want to use I can firm up some ideas.

Well my wife has vetoed the Mini Eeden plan and wants to stick with the original idea. I worked a little more on it and show wha i think the connection between two domes can be. Simply connecting two doorways taught is all she need. The Fancier outside is purely esthetic.
The structure was originally thought to be 3 of the 24ft 6" domes. I've done a sketchup image of the connection opened up. please keep in mind that these pictures are put together by a person with no really design skills.
As fare as the construction goes, we would like to us 3/4" treated plywood. I was thinking a 2x4 framework might work, but I'd like the experts to chime in on that idea.
Annette and I and starting to put together some ideas for the interior.
Thanks for all the input and help.

No problem, so I assume you just need the angles to be able to add the connection to your dome plan. I've attached an image below which shows angles for the join, you should be able to make a plywood template with the measurement top to bottom of your hex panel and the angles on this drawing. Let me know if this is OK

Annette and I are very excited about the ideas and help you are giving us, We will be making a stop motion video of the construction that we'll be happy to share with you. .
We would like to finish the dome with heavier plywood if that is possible. Perhaps 3/4 inch? .
We would also like to cover the dome with as few gaps as possible. Can you help me with the angles to cut the ply such that each wall could be butted up against its neighbor. Eventual we will paint with several elastomeric coatings
