9m dome for a school in gateshead Here we have a design for a 9 meter diameter dome commissioned by a primary school in Gateshead as an outside teaching area. As the school is situated in a built up area it had to be vandal proof but still have a clean modern finish. We opted for a sudo-6v dome covered in polycarbonate, clear on the south facing side and solid white where the dome would be overlooked by housing. The finished design in the end looked a bit like a space mans helmet, much to the delight of the kids who were involved in the design process.
