The new geo-dome building system is the most flexible and cost effective way to build your own geodesic dome. Detailed plans show you how to make all the parts required and include assembly instructions for building your dome. All you need are a few wood machine tools like a table saw, drill driver, jig saw etc.
What’s great about the Geo-dome construction system:
Simple single dihedral strut system, no complex compound miters, nearly all the struts are cut at the same angle.
All timber construction requiring only basic woodworking machinery to make everything.
No hubs to make; think of all the extra work you can save by not making hubs.
Cover with any material you want – Polythene, Polycarbonate, glass, aluminium, canvas or pretty much any sheet material.
E-mail support, if you get stuck or have a question drop me a line for help or advice when building your dome.
Ready made patterns available from the shop to make building your dome even easier.
Custom plans drawn to order, if you need a set of plans for something that we don’t have in the shop drop me a line and I’ll be happy to quote you for custom plans.
Take a look at this short video showing the tools you'll need and how the dome frame goes together.
Hi Paul,

Hi Brad, The plans are supplied via e-mail in PDF format. Pretty much all computers can read PDF so you should have no problems reading them or printing a copy off. Cheers, Paul

Hi Paul
I am interested in the 6m dome. I would like to know if I use clear Polycarbonate panels or glass how are the joints of the triangles water and weather proof? Water from rain or snow can get through the joints of the triangle.

Hi Paul,
I am very interested in building a dome using the technique that you show in the video. I don't want to start making hubs. A few questions though before I purchase your plans:
1. Can this technique be used for a 4m diameter 3V dome?
2. Are the joints weather proof using Polythene or do you need to seal some how?
3. Could you supply me plans for a 4m dome as stated?
Many thanks.

hi Paul. in the video clip you state that there are 2 types of triangles.
please could you tell me what the angles of those 2 triangles are? And you also state that the planks are angled on one side. Are all the triangles angled to the same angle. or are they different.

Thanks Paul! Please make more Videos!
There is one question: Must the angle on the outside of the triangle to make it work? You've shown that the triangle fits the model both ways.

Hi Paul,
We just bought the plans the GD5 3 meter dome and we were wondering how exactly we're going to get them. Will they be digitally sent to us? sent in a package? and how do we specify the conversion to US measurements.

If building with 2 inch (nominal) x n inch (nominal) (where n is 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 inches (nominal)) lumber, and covering with etfe which is readily available in widths of 6 foot (determining the largest easy-to-build-with-your-system triangle size), what is the maximum width of tunnel dome that could be made in a moderate snow load area? Would you please consider producing a plan based on that size?

Hi,
I'm looking at the possibility of building a geodesic dome home out of plastic tubing and using 2' thick polystyrene insulation panels. Do you happen to have plans for say 2 - 16' domes connected with each other? Or, say, 3 - 10' domes?

interested in making a dome greenhouse. I want to know if you have instructions to add solar vent openers, or even manual vents.
How about foundation? Is this covered? I was planning to put my greenhouse into a pit. I was planning to cover the north face with exterior plywood.
Thoughts?
